Summary : I just thought and hoped that perhaps you’d want an explanation as to why come Monday morning I won’t be in my usual seat in Sikowitz’s class or why I won’t ever walk through the Hollywood Arts doors again.

Tori Goes Lesbian
=====
=====Tori bit her lower lip, eyes flashing across Beck’s face. “N-no, I can’t tell you guys…”“Why not?” the brown-haired boy pushed on, making Tori even more nervous. The Latina was nearly bouncing in her seat now, shaking hands fumbling with her curly hair as she thought of anything to get herself out of this tight, badly foreboding situation.“Yeah, why not?” Jade’s low voice slithered in the conversation, sending a shiver down Tori’s spine. The butterflies in her stomach were all crashing down by now and Tori looked around for help, in whatever form it may come.
Am I the only one who finds the use of disclaimers in fanfiction slightly silly? I know people are worried about legal protection, but shouldn’t the fact that it is called fanfiction argue the case for you? As the title implies, you are a fan, so clearly you are admiring the work of somebody…
If you love Jori fanfiction but kinda cringe at the idea of going through all the pages and awkward stories, don’t worry, I did it for you so be grateful.
These are all different genres; Romance, Friendship, Drama, Tragedy, Fluff, Smut etc. So there should be something for…
Tori only walks a few feet into school before she’s promptly shoved in a closet by none other then Jade Freakin’ West.
‘This isn’t going to be good’
That’s what Tori should be thinking. What Tori is actually thinking…
‘Jade has really soft hands. I wonder what it feels like to hold them.’
Jade and Tori attend a performing arts high school…and in Hollywood, Los Angeles at that. The chances of there being no other same sex couples in their school under those circumstances is like saying there are no Oompa Loompas in the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. So you must forgive me if I find it a little silly when stories feature a bunch of classmates reacting with bigotry or shock to two girls dating. By all means, continue using your artistic freedom, but keep in mind that sometimes the easiest drama to toss into fanfiction isn’t the best choice.
Sincerely,

Jade sat up and lit a cigarette – a small ember glowing in the dim room. Traces of lipstick still clung to her mouth as she pulled in the first lungful of smoke.

Review:
Once in a while you might get that feeling like maybe there are a few things about Jade we just don’t know yet, or that there are pieces of her background that explain more about what we do think we know. Here we have an author who uses their one-shot to dive into this unknown a little bit, and as a result they are able to paint a descriptive picture of what Jade’s life could look like if more was shared. This certainly adds to the reader’s ability to become enveloped in her character as she pursues her passions and pines after Tori while their relationship builds and they become closer. Longer than the average one-shot, but arguably worth the time commitment, this story should have you hooked with little effort as long as you don’t mind some drama here and there with some possible inconsistencies.
